I’ve got a bunch of songs for you today but not many words, so just browse and listen! Music criticism is superfluous anyway. These are the songs I like, and that’s it. No Best New Songs next week as I’ll be at the amazing End of the Road Festival!
Faith Healer – Try
‘Try’ is the single off Faith Healer’s second LP Try 😉, which you can pre-order here (via Mint Records).
Andi – Half Home
‘Half Home’ is Andi’s first new song since last year’s Sketches EP, and is out now!
Girl K – Neighbors
The Alvvays-esque ‘Neighbors’ is the first single from Girl K’s album Sunflower Court, which is out later this year.
Friendship – If You See My Beloved
The beautifully quiet ‘If You See My Beloved’, which reminds me of Bill Callahan’, is off Friendship’s upcoming album Shock of the Season, out November 3 on Orindal Records.
Little Kid – dim light coming down
Another nice and quiet track, by Toronto’s Little Kit (funny: last time I wrote about Little Kid was exactly a year ago). Their new album is out TOMORROW, available on Bandcamp.
